May 08 20132013-05-08A large screen shows a grid of video-conference feeds from many locations, displayed at an angle in a darkened room. Several panels show groups of devotees seated on the floor before decorated altars with deity images, flower garlands and oil lamps. One panel shows people in orange and white clothing gathered in a hall, another a woman in white with a red shawl sitting with hands joined on a pink couch. Handwritten signs read Seattle, Vancouver Puri, San Jose and Atlanta, and a sign reads Bidadi Ashram. The screen is a display of remote satsang participants.2013-01-05January 22 20132013-01-22 +1 copiesJuly 10 20122012-07-10A photograph of a large monitor displaying a multi-panel collage of video stills from temple and ashram gatherings. Several panels show groups of people seated on floors and mats before decorated altars with deity murtis, garlands and flowers. A bottom-centre panel shows a bare-chested man with a white tilak, rudraksha-style garland and a red-patterned backdrop, and a right-hand panel shows a figure in saffron robes seated among offerings. Some panels carry printed city-name signs such as Seattle, Oklahoma Sonnetham and San Jose Madurai. The collage content is screen imagery, so no physical people are counted in the room beyond the handful of people in the scene behind the monitor.2012-09-26June 30 20122012-06-30 +1 copiesOctober 24 20122012-10-24A photograph of a large screen displaying a grid of live video feeds from multiple centres, showing groups seated in ceremonial settings with deity altars, red and orange drapery, flower garlands and oil lamps. Participants sit on mats with oil lamps and offerings in front of them. The bottom-right panel shows a man with a shaved head and tilak, wearing a saffron-orange garment and gold necklace, seated on a golden throne; he is shown on a screen, so he is a depiction and the identity is a person by appearance cues of ornate gold necklace and saffron clothing.2013-01-02
