Low-angle photograph of a tall, slender ceremonial pole with spiral metal banding rising against a clear blue sky, topped by a decorative finial. A red-and-white flag hangs from a rope near the pole. At the base, a carved stone or metal pedestal is garlanded with yellow and orange flowers and decorated with dried grass tufts. This appears to be a flag-hoisting or dhwajarohanam-style ritual at a temple festival.

A small ornate finial with a carved figure tops the pole, and an orange-red flag hangs from a rope near its upper section. Thin guy ropes run diagonally up the frame.
