A dirt road runs through a rural setting with trees and a low concrete wall behind. Four men stand in a loose group. The man second from the right, in white kurta and white dhoti with an orange shawl and glasses, stretches his arm to point toward the right. Beside him, a man with long curly hair wears an orange robe and holds a long walking staff in his right hand while standing and facing forward. To the left, two young men in white kurtas with orange shawls stand with their arms folded and look ahead. The one on the far left wears a white dhoti with a red border. A distant smoky area and palm trees are visible in the background. The scene is an outdoor photograph of an ashram walk.2006-09-21Outdoor photo on a dirt path beside dense green shrubs and palm trees. Three men in plain white clothing stand in a loose group; one in the centre wears a white dhoti with a white shawl bordered in red, holds a small metal vessel and gestures toward a long bamboo pole that a man on the right is steadying. Fallen bamboo stalks lie on the ground. The shaven-headed man in the centre shows no clear cues of the a person candidate such as long hair, saffron clothing, or rudraksha mala, so the identity is uncertain; he is described by role only as a man in white ritual dress.2006-08-20February 14 20072007-02-14Outdoor photograph on a dusty reddish-brown dirt ground with trees and a small orange-roofed building behind. Several men in saffron-orange robes stand at left, one holding a small object, with a man in white kurta and dhoti standing among them and another in white with arms folded. At right, a man with long dark swept-back hair, wearing an orange wrap draped over one shoulder, smiles and looks toward the group. Orange flags are visible at top. Overcast sky.2006-09-16Outdoor photo at dusk of a group of men in front of trees and a thatched hut. In the foreground, a young man with long hair tied back wears an orange saffron robe and bare-shouldered orange wrap, and points forward with his right arm. Behind him, a line of men in white dhotis and white kurtas stand with hands folded, several wearing orange shawls and rudraksha or beaded malas. The scene suggests a ceremonial welcome, with a fence and bright pale sand on the ground.2007-12-07November 11 20152015-11-11Outdoor photograph on a bare dirt ground with trees, palms and rocky hills behind under an overcast sky. In the foreground, a figure with long, swept-back dark hair wears a loose saffron-orange wrap and holds a wooden walking stick, looking to the side; the appearance cues are a long swept-back hair and saffron clothing, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) candidate walking in person. Beside him, a man in white shirt and white trousers with a lanyard and a small paper in hand looks down at it, and a man in white with an orange shawl adjusts his hair. At right, an older man in white kurta with an orange shawl and glasses walks with his hands at his sides. Another figure in white stands in the distance on the left.2006-10-07A dirt path winds between palm trees and green scrub at an outdoor site. Four people walk away on the left and centre: a woman in an orange sari carrying an orange cloth, a man in white kurta and trousers, a person in an orange robe with a shawl, and a person partly hidden behind them in orange. On the right a man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands on the path beside a heap of reddish rubble and stones. A grey concrete pillar stands at the left edge.2009-11-30August 17 20062006-08-17Outdoor scene on a sandy path in front of a green garden with palm trees and a low wall. Five men in plain white ritual clothing stand around a bamboo pole and banana leaves laid on a blue tarpaulin. Several wear rudraksha malas and pendants. Two men in front talk and gesture, while another stands at right with a hand near his face. No saffron robes, crowns or throne are visible, so no candidate for the teacher is clearly present.2009-09-25December 23 20072007-12-23October 24 20062006-10-24
