A woman in an orange-red sari stands at left with her back partly turned, reaching toward a purple-draped table lit by several brass oil lamps. On the table are a framed photograph garlanded with yellow marigolds, a brass plate, a small deity figurine, and a smoking incense or camphor flame at the lower edge. Behind the table, a large deity murti seated on a golden throne with peacock-feather motifs stands in a temple-like shrine with a mural of a South Indian temple tower and golden trident-topped kalasha finials. The scene reads as an aarti or puja at a home shrine.

A woman in an orange saree stands at left with palms pressed together in namaskar, eyes closed, facing a shrine. Behind her a seated statue on a red-cushioned golden throne wears layered beaded necklaces and a red garment, flanked by golden trident standards and tall decorated parasols with red and yellow fringe. A mural of a temple-topped hill forms the backdrop. On a purple cloth in front stand two brass oil lamps, yellow marigold garlands, a framed photo of a deity, a framed black-and-white portrait, a brass plate with flowers, and a small figurine. Only the one woman is a physical person; the statue and framed images are depictions.

A woman in an orange sari stands with her back to the camera, extending a brass lamp or aarti vessel toward a shrine. On a golden throne in the background sits a seated figure in red and white clothing with a beaded necklace, flanked by yellow and red ceremonial umbrellas and tall brass trident stands. Before the shrine, a framed image of a goddess is garlanded with yellow marigolds, with brass oil lamps burning on either side and a framed portrait with a flower garland at the lower left. Murals of a temple and mountains form the backdrop.

A photograph of a shrine room decorated with pink and green paper ornaments and tinsel. A man in an orange sleeveless top and orange dhoti, wearing a yellow and red flower garland, stands at left with both palms raised toward a large framed portrait. The portrait shows a smiling man with long hair, a red tilak and beads, seated on an ornate white-and-gold throne in front of a red heart-shaped backdrop, and carries a caption in Tamil script. Below, a seated statue in red robes and a red turban, wrapped in yellow and red marigold garlands, sits on a patterned chair. Brass oil lamps, a peacock-feather bunch, marigold petals, a fruit plate, and a small book with a portrait cover are arranged on the platform. The man's hair is long and swept back, and he wears orange, but the appearance is not clearly distinctive enough to confirm identity, so he is described only by role as a devotee.

A woman in a white sari with a gold border kneels at a shrine draped in maroon velvet, arranging flower petals and offerings on a brass tray set on a small wooden table. Garlands of yellow, orange and white flowers hang around a framed portrait of a seated figure in orange robes with a red tilak and rudraksha beads, placed on a pink and gold silk cushion. Oil lamps burn on a brass tray in front, with a brass bowl of offerings, a conch shell and a bell nearby, and incense smoke rises. An open book rests beside the shrine. This appears to be a puja at a home or temple altar.

A photograph of a small shrine room with pink and cream walls and dark tiled columns. A standing person in orange robes and a long-haired orange wrap stretches both arms toward a framed portrait on the back wall, touching its frame. The portrait shows a figure in white clothing with a red heart-shaped backdrop, marigold garlands hanging across its top. Below it, a seated person in a red sari with a red head covering and a marigold garland sits on a cushioned pink-draped seat. Brass oil lamps, a peacock feather arrangement, a plate of fruit and offerings in the foreground, and orange and yellow paper decorations complete the scene.

A woman in an orange-red sari with gold borders stands at the left, reaching toward a shrine to a seated figure. The central element is a seated statue wearing a red and gold garment, a red head cloth, a rudraksha mala and a red flower garland, its right hand raised in blessing. Behind it hangs a framed image on a pale yellow background, and peacock-feather fans and red flower garlands decorate the shrine. A small brass oil lamp and framed portraits sit at the base. A printed sign at the lower right reads Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, Tharamangalam. This is a photo of a home shrine puja.
