A night procession on an ornate ceremonial vehicle with a large orange-and-gold canopy and red tassels overhead. A smiling man with a crown-like headdress and a thin dark beard, wearing an orange-red robe, a large pink and white flower garland and a gold-toned necklace, raises his right hand in greeting while holding a tall silver staff. Probable Swamiji: the appearance cues include the ornate crown, ceremonial garlands and saffron clothing, and the page names him as present. Gold and orange decorative elements and a pot of flowers fill the edges of the frame. Other people are only partly visible at the lower right.2013-02-10A man seated on an ornate golden palanquin or float at night waves his right hand while holding a tall silver trident-like staff. He wears an orange-saffron kurta with a shawl or wrap, a gold-toned ceremonial necklace, and an orange crown-like headpiece, with a rudraksha-style pink and white flower garland around his neck. Behind him a large red-orange fan or parasol-like canopy with blue accents and a golden deity-style head ornament rises above the float, with pink and orange flowers and marigold garlands in the foreground. a person appears in the procession as the person seated on the float, consistent with the page's Kumbha Mela procession.2013-02-10 +1 copiesSeptember 13 20152015-09-13 +1 copiesSeptember 15 20152015-09-15February 12 20132013-02-12A smiling person in a rust-orange turban and saffron-orange robe sits on a decorated ceremonial vehicle at night, raising one hand in a wave. They wear a long multi-strand gold chain with a large gold pendant, a pink and white flower garland, and gold bangles. Behind them a tall pole with a white and orange flower garland and a gold ornament rises. To the left stands a large round red and gold shield-like panel bearing a gold sun-face deity murti with an urdhva tilaka. Other people in white and saffron clothing stand nearby, and a mustard-yellow silk drape hangs on the right. This appears to be a procession scene.2015-09-15January 03 20162016-01-03February 10 20132013-02-10February 10 20132013-02-10September 15 20152015-09-15February 12 20132013-02-12 +1 copiesNight procession photo. A golden ratha-style palanquin decorated with white and red flower garlands sits at left under a large canopy with multicoloured fringed tassels and a lotus motif. A central figure in saffron-orange robes and a red-and-white flower garland stands with both hands raised and a broad smile, with a shawl over the shoulders and a gold pendant. On the right, a man with bare upper body wears a white dhoti with gold border and folds his hands. A cameraman and a partially visible head appear in the foreground. Probable Swamiji (long swept-back hair, saffron robes, gold chain) waves to devotees during the procession.2016-01-03
