Shaded by tall green trees with dirt verges, traffic moves in both directions: a blue-bodied truck, motorcycles and bicycles with riders in light clothing. On the left, several people in white dhotis and white garments walk along the verge, one woman in a white sari with an orange border. In the lower right, two heads are visible in the foreground, one wearing an orange-bordered white garment and another in white. No figure is clearly identifiable as a person.2008-08-01Outdoor street scene at a roadside in a rural Indian town, with a line of people standing along a dusty road under shady trees. Men in white dhotis and shirts, some in checked shirts and sarongs, stand beside bicycles near a small roadside shop with stacked firewood. Two women in orange and purple saris stand at the right, one holding a bicycle. Some men hold small paper packets or bundles. A uniformed officer stands at the far left. Sunlight and shadows fall across the road, and a multi-storey building with a green wall appears at the back right.2009-01-21A busy street scene in a small Indian town under a hazy sky. In the centre, a man in a white shirt and light trousers rides a green bicycle with a basket on the front, while other cyclists and a man in a dark shirt ride nearby. On the left, parked motorcycles and scooters stand in front of thatched-roof shops with shuttered fronts. A woman in a sari walks on the right beside a yellow auto-rickshaw, and a white car passes at the edge. Utility poles and wires line the street.2012-07-08A busy street in a South Indian town with a wide paved road running through the centre. Pedestrians walk across the road, including a man in a white dhoti and a woman in a green sari. Several black motorcycles are parked on the right beside a row of shops, and yellow auto-rickshaws sit on the left. A white minibus stands in the middle distance. Tall trees line the left side, and utility poles with overhead wires run along the road. A large billboard on the right shows portraits of men, though the figures are too small to judge clearly. Power lines and a low hill appear in the distance under an overcast sky.2012-05-09 +1 copiesSeptember 23 20062006-09-23
