A photograph of an outdoor ceremony at a whitewashed building with banana plants bearing green bunches, strung with flower garlands. A figure in saffron-orange robes and a white jasmine garland stands at left, extending a hand toward a ritual rope tied to a tall reddish pole. A smiling man in white dhoti and shirt with a rudraksha mala holds the rope; another man in white stands beside him. At right, a monk in orange robes holds a metal tray with offerings and incense. A silver SUV is parked at left. The dominant read is a pole-raising or inauguration ritual with flower garlands and offerings.2008-07-29 +1 copiesJuly 29 20082008-07-29 +1 copiesOutdoor scene at a whitewashed building with banana plants and a silver SUV parked behind. A woman in orange robes with a white flower garland stands with her back to the camera, facing a red flagpole set in a concrete base. Two men in white dhotis and shirts stand at the pole, one tying or hoisting a rope with a small bundle attached, while a man in white stands nearby. Other people in white clothing and a woman in a white sari with red border watch from the right. A garlanded banner and a small signboard are visible near the entrance.2008-07-29 +1 copiesOutdoor photo at a dusty site in front of a white single-storey building with banana plants and a silver SUV parked to the left. A central figure in an orange-saffron robe with a white flower garland, bare-footed, reaches up to a tall red-brown pole or flagstaff while others in white dhotis and kurtas assist and stand around. A man in an orange robe stands beside him, and a woman in a white sari with red border and another woman in white stand to the right with hands folded. Yellow flower petals are scattered on the ground at the pole's base. Appearance-based cues are not strong enough to confirm the identity of the central robed figure, so it is recorded as unsure.2008-07-29 +1 copiesJuly 29 20082008-07-29Outdoor photo at an ashram building with whitewashed walls, brown window shutters and banana plants decorated with leaves. A figure in orange saffron robes and a white flower garland stands at left, holding a rope tied to a tall vertical pole set on a concrete base. Nearby, several people in white dhotis and white shirts, and a woman in a white sari with a red border, gather around the pole. A man in orange robes stands near the doorway in the background, and a silver pickup truck is parked at left. The ground is bare dirt with bricks and wood stacked at right.2008-07-29Outdoor scene at a village-style compound with whitewashed walls and banana plants decorated with flower garlands. On the left, a man with long swept-back dark hair wears an orange saffron garment and a white flower garland, and holds a rope tied to a tall reddish pole. Beside him, a man in white ritual clothes with a rudraksha mala grips the rope with another person in white. Several men in white shirts and dhotis stand around, and one older man in white with a pendant watches on the right. The setting suggests a flagpole raising or inauguration ceremony. Based on the orange-robed man's appearance with long hair and saffron garment, he is a person candidate, shown in person.2008-07-29September 17 20062006-09-17October 06 20162016-10-06Outdoor photo of a flagpole raising at a whitewashed ashram building with banana plants and red-and-white floral garlands over its doorways. The woman is the only visibly orange-robed figure in the foreground; the others are in white.2006-09-19
