A woman in a blue and yellow patterned sari with an orange blouse carries a large blue metal basin of grey material on her head, steadied with both hands and a pink-and-white plaid cloth. Behind her, workers in white shirts, dark shirts and shorts stand on a paved area of large grey stone slabs laid in a grid, holding long wooden poles or leaning on them. Bamboo and a red-roofed building are visible in the background, with bare brown ground beyond the stone paving.

Outdoor construction work at a village temple compound. A young woman in a red kurta and cream head covering carries a metal pan of gravel or sand, while a smiling woman in a blue sari with a green head wrap stands nearby. A boy in a colourful patterned jacket and light jeans watches beside a concrete wall. A large stone grinding wheel or mixer sits at left, with a heap of grey sand and crushed stone on the ground. Behind them, a small shrine with a seated deity murti and orange bunting stands among trees, and another woman in orange sari walks in the background.

A woman in a blue and yellow floral sari and an orange top, with a pink-and-white checked headscarf, balances a large grey metal basin on her head while smiling. She carries it across a paved area of cut grey granite slabs. Around her, workers in white shirts, a man in a brown shirt, and a young man in a navy t-shirt and grey shorts stand near the stone, some holding long wooden poles and tools. Green bamboo grows behind them and a reddish-brown earth ground is visible at the edge of the site. The scene shows manual construction labour on a stone-paved site.

Outdoor photograph of villagers doing construction work at a temple site. A woman in a green sari with a dark head covering bends forward while carrying a shallow metal tray of mortar or wet concrete. Nearby, a woman in a red and yellow sari with a pink head cloth stands watching, and a man in a white checked shirt and grey trousers walks past. A man in a white shirt stands behind a concrete ledge, and another worker wearing a pink-and-white cloth on his head kneels at the edge, smoothing the surface. A white-and-red painted low wall, a dark cloth hanging at left and leafy trees form the background under a pale sky.

A construction site on open, dry ground with piles of cut timber and stacks of stone blocks. Several women and men work on rough concrete foundations. In the foreground a woman in an orange and green floral sari and a red blouse carries a terracotta pot. Beside her a woman in a yellow sari holds a metal tray of grey mortar, and another woman in a purple sari and white head cloth walks past. A man in a blue top and red shorts stands at right, and a man in a white shirt bends near a green hose at centre. Distant trees and low buildings fill the background under a hazy sky.

Outdoor construction site on bare orange-brown earth with stacks of grey granite slabs and cut stone blocks in the background. Four workers are shovelling fine pale grey sand: a woman in a striped top and blue patterned skirt bends with a shovel into a yellow basin, another woman in a blue floral skirt and head wrap pours from a yellow basin, a woman in a plaid top with a green basin balanced on her head stands at left, and a man in a white shirt and white head wrap crouches at right with a shovel.

Outdoor construction work on a paved site with palm trees and a scaffold behind. Several labourers work around a large heap of grey wet cement or concrete mix spread on the ground, with torn cement bags nearby. A man in a red knit cap and checked shirt on the left, a man in a striped sweater and white turban on the right, and others in lungis and light shirts shovel and spread the mix with tools. Tall lamp posts and a blue barrel sit in the background. No ritual, discourse or a person presence is visible.

A construction site outdoors where workers are mixing mortar on bare earth beside a small concrete structure. A man in a white shirt, grey trousers and a green head cloth pours cement from a blue woven sack onto a heap of reddish sand. Beside him a worker in a purple checked top, green lungi and white head wrap bends over the pile with gloved hands. On the right an older man in a cream shirt and blue-striped dhoti stands watching, and another person in an orange shirt stands further back. A black hose runs across the ground, and white buildings, trees and a red metal railing sit in the background. Stacked concrete blocks lean against a wooden frame at right.

A construction site photographed outdoors on bare sandy ground. A grey concrete mixer with a hand-cranked wheel sits in the centre. A woman in a pink and magenta salwar with a white headscarf shovels sand beside it, while a man in a white shirt with a yellow shawl stands at left holding a tool. Two workers at right, one in an orange-red headwrap and light blue trousers, carry a basket of sand on their heads. Large piles of sand, grey granite blocks, blue tarpaulins and sacks lie around the site, with a blue drum and a water hose at the top.
