A photograph of a ceremonial procession on a brick-paved platform in front of a red multi-storey building with water tanks. A large dark stone structure shaped like an arched tomb-like shrine is wrapped in a garland of marigolds, roses and green leaves in red, yellow, white and purple. A striped canopy umbrella with red, green, blue and white fringes is raised above it on a pole. Several men stand on and around the shrine: one in the centre wears an orange-brown robe and holds the shrine's edge, one wears a white shawl and a head covering, and one on the right wears an orange robe, rudraksha beads and a headband. Their gestures suggest a ritual or ceremonial offering at the shrine.2018-01-01 +1 copiesA seated man with long dark hair and a red bindi wears an orange saffron robe with gold trim and a heavy gold ceremonial necklace. He sits cross-legged on a cushioned golden throne, framed by a large arch of marigold and yellow garlands with purple and red flowers, white jasmine strings below, and ornate gold carvings. Brass vessels and a water bottle sit on a side table, and a burlap-textured backdrop hangs behind. The seated figure matches the page's Swamiji cues: long hair, saffron clothing and ceremonial gold necklace, so this is a probable identification, shown in person on a throne at a festival-style event.2009-12-27A large dark Shiva lingam stands on a tiered base wrapped in layered garlands of marigold and multicoloured flowers in orange, yellow, red, white and green. Its front is decorated with a band of white and silver panels and a garland draped over the top. Behind it a metal scaffold staircase rises to a platform where several people in orange and saffron clothing stand. On the right, a brick wall and a tree sit beneath a pale sky, and a few people in white stand near the lower stairs.2015-02-17 +1 copiesJanuary 01 20182018-01-01 +1 copiesDecember 23 20162016-12-23A seated figure sits centrally on an ornate silver-and-white throne framed by a flower-draped canopy of white and orange garlands, red roses and tasseled pompoms in red, white, purple, yellow and black.
