December 22 20162016-12-22A richly adorned deity murti, shown as a figure seated in a gold-framed arched shrine, is the central subject. The murti wears an elaborate crown of yellow and red flower garlands with jewelled ornaments, heavy silver-and-gem necklaces, and a rudraksha mala, with a reddish-brown dhoti-like garment and a golden cloth beneath. Long garlands of red roses, marigolds, and green leaves drape around the shrine, and a brass bell hangs near the feet. The setting is a decorated ceremonial stage under draped fabric, consistent with a puja or darshan display. No physical people are visible.2016-12-22A decorated deity murti, a figure in a red and gold sari-like garment, is seated in a gilded arched shrine. It wears a crown of red roses and yellow marigolds, a jewelled ornament on the forehead, and large layered silver-toned jewelled necklaces over a deep maroon garment. A thick rudraksha-style brown bead garland hangs across the chest. The statue sits on a golden ornate throne backed with red, yellow and green garlands, and holds a golden hand gesture. Gold-bordered fabric draped around the seat. This is a statue, not a living person.2016-12-22A photograph of a gilded seated figure, a metal or statue-like image rather than a live person, adorned with flower garlands in yellow, red and green, a jewelled gold necklace, a rudraksha mala, and a jewelled crown. The figure sits before an ornate golden arched backdrop with decorative filigree, under a blue draped canopy. The garlands and ornaments suggest a deity murti being honoured during a puja setting. No living people are visible.2016-12-22December 23 20162016-12-23January 08 20152015-01-08
