The feet belong to two people: a foot in the foreground with a pink flower and a white jasmine garland wrapped at the ankle, beside a red-brown garment with a gold border, and a second, older foot partly visible behind it. Beside the feet are clear plastic packets of small items and a white paper tag with printed text.2016-05-24May 24 20162016-05-24Close-up photograph of a bare foot resting on a red cloth draped over a surface, decorated with a garland of white jasmine-style flowers and red roses. A fine gold chain is looped around the ankle. Beside the foot, a red velvet tray sits at the left edge, and small clear plastic bags with white paper tags lie at the bottom, with a few small gold rings on the cloth. The foot appears to belong to a person in a deep red garment with a gold border visible at the top. This appears to be part of a foot-worship (padapuja) offering with flower garlands and gold items.2016-05-24Close-up photograph of a seated figure's bare feet being ritually washed during a padapuja. The figure wears a red-orange garment and a white and pink flower garland draped over the lap. A right hand with gold bangle and black thread pours or touches water over the toes, and a metal bowl rests beside the feet. A yellow sacred thread and a small brass ring lie on the cloth. Behind is a tiger-striped orange cloth and gold ritual vessels. A blurred figure in white is at the lower left.2016-05-24Close-up photograph of a bare foot resting on a red cushioned seat, decorated with a garland of yellow marigolds and red roses, with white flower strands and green leaves above. A cream and maroon striped cloth drapes at the upper left. The background is softly blurred with a gold edge at the lower right. The visible foot appears to belong to a seated person in ceremonial dress, and the flower offering suggests reverence or puja.2011-01-23Close-up photograph of a pair of bare feet resting on a patterned brown and cream floor mat with footprint-like designs, scattered with yellow and white petals. Draped over the lower legs is an orange garment, with a white cloth with gold embroidery at the right edge. A garland of white jasmine, red roses, yellow marigolds and green leaves lies across the feet and mat. Only the feet and lower garments are visible, so the person's identity is not shown; no face is visible.2010-08-08
