Many women in saris stand in rows with palms pressed together in anjali mudra, facing forward in a devotional greeting. In the foreground a woman in a black blouse and blue-and-white sari stands beside a woman in a purple sari and a girl in yellow. Pictures and a framed deity image hang on the walls, and the scene is typical of a reception or satsang gathering.2014-07-02 +1 copiesInterior of a large hall with a concrete floor and strings of multicoloured bunting across the ceiling. Dozens of girls and young women sit cross-legged in rows, mostly in colourful salwar kameez and saris, many with long braids. At the far end, a blue backdrop with an orange drape and a banner sits above a low stage where several robed figures in saffron and white sit before a small altar. Framed portraits line the side walls and a television stands at the left. Some people stand near the stage.
