September 11 20152015-09-11Outdoor temple-grounds scene in bright daylight among trees. A central man with long swept-back dark hair and a red bindi walks smiling in an orange-saffron shawl over an orange garment, wearing a long rudraksha mala and a gold-toned necklace, and holds nothing visible in his hands. Behind him a man in a sannyasi-style orange cloth with a rudraksha mala carries a silver tray of white flowers, and another man with a shaved head wears an orange wrap. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts stand around, one holding a small object. Small black stone shrines and red-and-white painted plinths line the area, with a decorated pillar wrapped in straw and yellow cloth at right. The central man is the presumed Swamiji by appearance (probable), given long hair, saffron shawl and rudraksha cues.2012-06-19A crowd of men gathers closely outdoors on a dirt site. At centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a white tilak-like forehead mark and a red bindi wears a rust-red dhoti-style wrap and a large brown rudraksha mala, smiling with hands clasped. Beside him a man in a white kurta and white trousers smiles. At left, a man in a white shirt wears an orange and green bordered shawl and a red tilak. Behind them, men in white shirts, a checked shirt and dark clothing crowd in, and a man in a black shirt holds a phone. Several figures at left wear white and orange ritual cloths with white forehead markings. A central figure in a rust-red turban with a small emblem, long dark hair, rudraksha-style beaded garlands and a deep red-orange robe with gold borders smiles while walking forward. Beside him, an older bald man in a saffron-orange robe and white-and-black beaded mala is supported by a devotee in orange. Attendants in white dhotis and saffron shawls, one holding a long gold-topped staff, surround them on a red carpet. Behind is a wooden palanquin with purple cloth and a crowd of onlookers. The central figure's cues are a turban, long hair, garlands and red-orange clothing, so this is a person in person, though the appearance is not conclusive enough for certainty.2015-01-13June 19 20142014-06-19August 20 20142014-08-20 +1 copiesJune 19 20142014-06-19A photograph of an outdoor event under red and white tent canopies with a red carpet, banana leaves and blue-and-yellow bunting.
