On the right, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a white tripundra with a red bindi on his forehead, and multiple rudraksha-style gold beaded necklaces presses his palms together in anjali at a microphone stand. He wears an orange garment and has ash markings on his arm. On the left, an older man in orange with a maroon border on his shawl and gold beads bows forward, eyes lowered, near an open flame. The background is dark with a blurred crowd of onlookers. This appears to be a homa or fire ritual.2010-02-12May 17 20112011-05-17May 04 20122012-05-04January 08 20102010-01-08December 11 20092009-12-11Photograph of two men in saffron-orange robes standing outdoors before a green hedge and trees. Beside him, a bald man in orange robes with a gold bead necklace and glasses walks with his head bowed. Behind, men in white kurtas and dhotis, one carrying a red torch and a wooden pole, follow. Trees and foliage frame the dark background.2010-11-21August 01 20082008-08-01Night-time outdoor ritual at dusk among palm trees. In the foreground a man with long dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron cloth with gold border and a gold-beaded necklace, stands with palms pressed together in namaste. Beside him are several men in orange robes with rudraksha-style garlands, also with hands folded. On the right a man in white dhoti and shawl with a red border holds a lit aarti lamp with flame and is accompanied by people in white. A brass plate with flowers lies at lower left. Behind, devotees in white and red clothing stand and one person holds up a camera. The scene suggests a deepam lamp ceremony.2010-11-21
