A photograph of a collapsed concrete road bridge in dry, rocky terrain under a pale blue sky. Two tall grey concrete gateway pillars with carved relief panels frame the view, their roof beam above. Broken slabs, railing sections and chunks of reddish rock lie tumbled across the gap in the road, where a narrow paved road continues into the distance past utility poles and wires. Scrubby bushes and a few trees line the roadside. No people are visible.2009-10-02Photograph of a flood-damaged riverside bridge with a bank of sandbags stacked on a sloped ramp, workers and villagers walking across muddy, debris-strewn ground in the foreground.
