2006 - Glimpses From Varanasi YatraA woman in an orange sari with long, curly dark hair and a large gold pendant with rudraksha beads bends forward to touch a stone shivalinga with her hand, holding a yellow flower near the base. Around her, a crowd of devotees in orange and saffron robes stands in a dusty outdoor courtyard beside a weathered pink wall with a trident mounted on it. An older man with grey hair and a rudraksha mala places his hands together, and a bald man in white with rudraksha beads stands at the right edge. The overcast sky is pale grey.2006-06-04June 04 20062006-06-04Outdoor photo on a riverbank at Varanasi with hazy pale sky and pink-walled stepped structures behind. A figure in a bright saffron-orange shawl with long dark hair raises a hand in greeting; a tall white bamboo pole stands beside them. Around them stand a grey-haired woman in a navy jacket with a white scarf, a man in a grey knit sweater, a smiling woman in dark glasses and dark jacket at left, and others in winter coats and a dark knit cap at right. The orange-robed figure has distinctive saffron clothing and long hair consistent with a person presence, though identity is uncertain from appearance alone.March 20 20142014-03-20May 24 20062006-05-24June 04 20062006-06-04January 13 20152015-01-13December 25 20072007-12-25Outdoor scene at a Kumbh Mela camp beside a corrugated metal wall, with marigold garlands on tall poles behind.
