At the centre sits a painted deity murti with a red and orange turban-like crown, garlanded in white flowers and gold ornaments, on a blue-draped altar with a golden kalasha-like crown set before it. Green fabric backdrops surround the shrine, and a red velvet curtain hangs at left. In the foreground a red and gold chair with an orange cushion stands empty. A person with long dark hair in a saffron-and-gold wrap, wearing a white flower garland, stands at right facing the shrine. Brass lamps and offerings of fruit and a small bowl sit on a side table at lower left.2013-04-30April 08 20122012-04-08Photograph of a gilded temple shrine with a golden arched frame and red drapery. The left figure wears a red turban and a red-and-gold garment with a rudraksha-style beaded necklace and carries a staff; the right figure wears a tall ornate crown and a jewelled necklace. Multicoloured marigold garlands drape both figures and a golden shivalinga-style object with a kalasha-like top sits on a golden platform in front. Red drapes flank the niche. Tall brass oil lamps stand on both sides and a silver-and-gold kalasha sits before the deity, decorated with marigold and purple garlands. In the foreground a seated figure in orange robes, appearing to be a sannyasi in saffron clothing and seen from behind, sits before the altar. Appearance-based label: a person cannot be confirmed from the seated figure, so the figure is described as a sannyasi in orange robes.2010-11-21Inside a temple shrine, a gilded deity murti pair is seated in a golden arched niche against red draped cloth. The figures wear gold and red adornments, with a red crown on the central figure, multi-strand necklaces, and garlands of white and purple flowers hanging across the altar. In front stands a silver-and-gold shivalinga-style vessel on a gold platform. Tall brass oil lamps with bird-shaped tops line both sides. At the lower centre, a seated figure in orange robes and rudraksha beads sits in front of the altar, appearing to be a priest or devotee rather than a clearly identifiable person. The walls are stone with carved detailing.2010-11-21A photograph of a gilded shrine arch framing a pair of deity murtis seated on a raised platform with a red curtain behind them.
