Behind him stands a gilded shrine with a deity murti adorned with garlands of orange and yellow flowers, flanked by carved stone pillars and decorative lamp stands. Red curtains frame the shrine, and a small figure stands in a niche on the right. The man is barefoot and the stage floor is covered with a woven mat. A distinctive combination of long swept-back hair, saffron robe and rudraksha mala is visible on the speaker, consistent with the page's reference to a person, though this is not a confirmed identification.
