The carved bull wears a layered necklace of bells and beads across its chest and an ornately carved saddle cloth draped over its back. Behind it stand palm trees, leafy trees, a wooden scaffold frame and a pile of rough quarry stones, with dry earth and a clear blue sky. No people are visible in the scene.2006-12-192009 - Glimpses-From-Sacredarts-UniversitySeptember 18 20062006-09-18Close-up photograph of a large dark stone Nandi bull statue, seated and richly carved with a patterned saddle cloth, a beaded necklace and a decorated head ornament, set on a dark plinth in an outdoor temple setting with palm trees behind. Behind the statue, a figure in orange saffron robes stands at a wooden table with brass and copper kalasha pots and vessels on it. Two young men in white shirts stand nearby, one in the centre looking toward the table and another at right holding a brass vessel, with a boy in white between them.2007-10-08March 16 20132013-03-16
