Outdoor photograph of a temple procession at Navalur Kuttapattu, showing two gilded metal deity murtis heavily decorated with white jasmine garlands, orange and red flower strands and yellow marigold chains. The murti on the left wears a white and gold-bordered cloth wrap; the central murti wears a gold crown and a pink flower at the top. Behind them stand a brick-red and blue temple structure, a pink and blue shrine tower, palm trees and a loudspeaker on a pole. Two men in white shirts and a man in a dark-checked lungi stand at the right edge, one carrying a small child. The scene suggests a ratha procession of deities.2006-10-19April 26 20122012-04-26Close view of two golden metal deity murti faces wrapped in heavy garlands of white jasmine, yellow marigold and deep red flowers, shot from beneath a wooden canopy edge. The murti wears an ornate golden crown, red-and-gold headdress and jewelled necklaces, with a dark bead mala and a red gemstone pendant. Beside it stands a second golden figure in armour-like ornamentation with a gilded crown and heavy jewellery. Marigold and red-and-yellow flower decorations frame the image, along with a gold arched frame above and a yellow-and-red garland at lower left. The figures are statues, not living people, and the single physical person is the one in white.2010-01-01A photograph of a ratha yatra procession in which a man in a white dhoti and kurta with an orange shawl stands beside a golden shrine canopy and makes an offering to two gold-coloured deity murtis, a male and a female form, heavily garlanded with white jasmine and red and orange flowers. The female murti wears a pink saree. A second man in white with an orange cloth stands at the right holding a plate of offerings. Golden pillars frame the scene, and a sign reading Sri Nithyanandeshwari is visible in blue above. The scene is part of the Koadikkan Ratha Yatra.
