The figure wears a turban-like head covering and a patterned shawl, and its raised hand is in a blessing gesture. In the foreground, blurred fruits and greens sit in a tray at lower left. Warm golden lighting dominates the scene.2022-01-05A golden utsava vigraha of a seated deity, shown in a leela alankaram form, is being bathed with a fine white powder poured from a bowl held by a hand at upper left, as part of an annabhishekam ritual. The gilded arched prabhavali, flame-like side finials and a scroll-shaped ornament frame the murti. A bed of flowers and a pile of fruit lie in the foreground. A gold-brown sleeve of a robed attendant is visible at the left edge. The murti is a statue, not a physical person.2022-01-05ADIKAILASA on 1/5/20222022-01-05ADIKAILASA on 1/5/20222022-01-05ADIKAILASA on 1/5/20222022-01-05March 03 20112011-03-03 +1 copiesADIKAILASA on 1/1/20222022-01-01A photograph of an abhishekam ritual for a golden-yellow deity murti of Devi Rajarajeshwari, shown as a standing female figure with a crown and a raised hand holding a lotus-like object. A priest at left wears an orange shawl with a black-and-orange striped cloth and stands with his arm raised, pouring yellow liquid from a vessel over the statue, which is streaming down its body. Behind them a second figure in an ochre-yellow garment with silver earrings holds a trident-like staff. The background shows ornate gilded temple carvings. Dominant colours are gold, saffron orange and yellow.2022-02-11Inside a temple shrine, a priest's bare arm, wearing a bangle, pours water from a brass vessel with a spout over a deity murti seated in a niche draped with red cloth and garlanded with flowers. In front of the shrine stands a gold-plated standing figure of a bare-chested man with raised right hand, wearing a dhoti, framed by an ornate gold arch. To the left, a seated figure is adorned with a purple and yellow garland, and a white cloth with yellow stains covers a seat. Carved stone pillars and an orange curtain frame the scene.2012-04-07September 19 20112011-09-19
