Many people in orange shawls and saffron-coloured garments gather around a small open fire pit with visible flames. In the centre, a figure in an orange robe with a long orange shawl kneels by the fire, while a man in white trousers and a pink shirt stands nearby. Devotees sit and stand closely around the fire, some in dark jackets, a green rain poncho and a white knit cap. Offerings and bags sit on the ground, and the scene suggests a fire ritual such as a homa being performed.Photograph of a crowded indoor room where a large group of devotees sit cross-legged on striped woven mats against a plain white wall, many wearing saffron-orange shawls. Many are laughing and smiling, several with hands pressed together or raised in greeting, and a few wear knit caps in maroon and green. A video camera on a tripod stands at the right of centre near a man in orange shawl, and a man in white ritual clothes stands at the far right. Some faces are partly hidden in the foreground. Women with dark hair in ponytails and bobs wear white kurtas and bangles, and several men in white kurtas with red-orange shawls are visible at the back. Warm lamplight and a blurred foreground head suggest an evening session indoors, with a small corner of ritual items at lower right.2016-07-14Outdoor photo on a grassy highland slope beside a stream, with red and white prayer flags strung overhead. A seated figure in an orange robe and orange trousers, wearing a long beaded rudraksha-style mala, a gold-and-brown ornate necklace, a grey knitted cap and white socks, sits on a gilded wooden throne with a red-and-blue patterned rug beneath it. Around him, several people in bright orange and red down jackets, a green jacket and a red vest stand and crouch close, one holding a small book or papers and another holding a long staff. A few people in the foreground wear hooded jackets. The seated figure's appearance and adornments are consistent with the a person candidate described in the page, though the face is partly covered by the cap.2012-08-08Outdoor scene at a roadside stop in misty mountains, with brown barren hills behind and white SUVs parked nearby.
