Night procession of about a dozen saffron- and maroon-robed sannyasis walking barefoot over a stone-paved courtyard lit by strings of multicoloured fairy lights, with a illuminated green tree and a yellow building with a clock tower behind them. In the foreground at right, a man in white dhoti and shawl with a red-bordered cloth and rudraksha mala walks with his hands folded in prayer, while the others in orange and maroon robes carry bags and bundles. Several wear beaded necklaces and gold ornaments.2015-09-16A photograph of a group walking barefoot across a stone temple courtyard at dusk, with string lights and a green-lit tree behind them. In the centre, an older man with grey hair and a long beard wears a bright orange-saffron cloth draped over his body and a dark rudraksha mala around his neck; he walks with a slight stoop and is supported by attendants. Around him are about six men in maroon-brown robes with gold-bordered cloth, wearing layered rudraksha malas and large gold pendants, several with shaved heads and tripundra marks; one wears a red turban and another a white dhoti. A lit string of lights hangs from the temple wall at left, and a green garden hose runs across the stones.2015-09-16September 16 20152015-09-16Outdoor photograph at dusk of a procession of barefoot men walking across a stone-paved courtyard beside an ornate temple tower with strings of lights. Most wear rudraksha malas and ceremonial necklaces; the man at centre-right in a red-orange turban and a brown-red dhoti with gold borders and a gold pendant leads the group. A white-clad man walks second from left holding a cord, and an older man in an orange shawl with white hair walks at right-centre, holding his hands together. A tall man in a red turban and gold-bordered dhoti walks with the group, and a bearded man in orange robes stands further back. Green lights and foliage are visible at upper right.2015-09-16October 30 20162016-10-30December 06 20162016-12-06September 16 20152015-09-16June 29 20142014-06-29 +1 copiesSeptember 16 20152015-09-16Night procession on a town street lit by warm street lamps and shop lights. Five monastic men in saffron-orange robes with gold borders walk together, most wearing rudraksha malas and gold pendants. The man second from left has long swept-back hair, a white forehead mark, a gold pendant and bangles and appears to be the central figure; the a person (his cues: long swept-back hair, ornate gold necklace and saffron clothing), but the face and build are not clearly confirmed. Behind them, white-clad devotees and a woman in a red sari follow in the procession.2012-05-20Night procession on a paved path lit with green light and strings of multicoloured fairy lights on a tree and building. Four or more men in white dhotis with bare upper bodies, some wearing mala beads, walk in a line; one carries a dark staff or umbrella and another holds a lantern-like light. In the middle a figure in a maroon-brown garment with gold-trimmed cloth and a gold chain walks beside a woman in a red sari. Behind them more people in colourful clothes follow. The scene looks like a temple or ashram festival procession at night.2016-12-06December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04
