November 03 20132013-11-03A seated man in a rust-brown turban with gold trim and a brown-and-gold garment wrapped around his torso wears a long rudraksha and white bead mala. He reaches out and places his right palm on the forehead of a smiling man in a white polo shirt with a name badge. Behind them, a seated man in white dhoti with rudraksha beads and bare arms watches, and standing men in white dhotis and shirts look on near a white wall, a pedestal fan, and a maroon curtain. Several onlookers are visible, and the scene appears to be a blessing. The turbaned figure is described by role as a seated figure giving a forehead blessing; no identity is asserted from appearance.2013-11-03A photograph of a blessing moment indoors. A man with a shaved head and a tilak mark on his forehead wears a crimson and gold robe, rudraksha mala beads and gold bangles, and reaches forward with his right arm extended, palm open toward the head of a seated devotee. The devotee, in a white shirt with short dark hair, bows forward with his hands raised to his head to receive the blessing. Behind them a seated woman in white with a dark beaded mala watches calmly, and a partially visible man in white sits at the right edge. A brocade-patterned wall and a projection screen stand in the background, and a gold object is visible at the lower left. The blessing figure has a tilak and no clearly distinctive long hair or crown, so identity is uncertain.2014-01-05
