A photograph of a person with long, dark, unkempt hair bending forward and pressing their head and right hand against a dark stone lingam at a temple shrine. The figure wears a saffron-orange garment with a gold border and a gold bangle on the wrist. The lingam is draped with garlands of white and yellow flowers and a red-and-yellow marking. Behind it, an ornate silver-and-gold deity murti is decorated with sequined or jewelled embellishments, and a red and gold silk cloth and bright flower garlands fill the background. The person has long, swept-back hair and orange clothing with ornate adornments, matching the Swamiji (probable) cues of hair, saffron clothing and a gold bangle, though the face is obscured.2007-01-01A man with long swept-back dark hair, a rust-brown turban and a gold armlet, wearing a brown-orange shawl over the shoulder, bows over a garlanded deity murti with his hands, adjusting gold ornaments and pink, yellow and red flower garlands on a golden figure. Behind him another priest in a deep red turban stands beside floral garlands, and a golden decorated figure appears at right. The setting is an ornate temple sanctum with a gold-framed backdrop. The man has long hair and a shawl, and the page attributes this event to a person, so the appearance-based label applies: a person, performing a puja and garlanding the murti.2016-12-14A man in a rust-orange sannyasi wrap and matching orange turban leans forward with his forehead pressed to a black stone shivalinga on a dark plinth, one hand resting on the stone. Rudraksha malas and beaded bracelets adorn his arms and chest. Behind him, a dense wall of flower garlands in red, white and yellow frames a gilded deity murti, with a woman in a pink and gold brocade sari and heavy jewellery standing beside, holding a staff. A lit lamp glows at the upper right edge. The setting suggests a night ritual abhishekam or puja.2017-02-24 +1 copiesFebruary 19 20152015-02-19 +1 copiesA person with long, dark, voluminous hair and an orange saffron garment with a gold border bends forward, pressing their head and face against a dark stone linga draped with yellow and white flower garlands.
