A priest in white dhoti and a red-orange shawl sits at left, head bowed over papers and a stack of loose sheets. In front of him is a silver tray holding small silver vessels and a spoon, a kalasha-style pot, and bowls of rice and flower petals. At right are heaped fruits including whole melons, sliced watermelon and a pineapple, some in plastic bags. Blue and gold cloth draped above suggests a temporary altar space. Photo only; no identifiable person presented as a person is visible.2012-12-16A photograph of a man seated on the floor in a white dhoti with a red shawl draped over one shoulder, bare-chested and with sandalwood or vibhuti marks on his arms and shoulder, performing a puja. He sits before a tray of silver vessels and kalasha-style bowls with orange flowers, beside a tiger-striped cloth and a tall stack of fruit including apples, melons and dragon fruit. An orange silk-draped altar with a brass bell stand sits behind him, and papers rest in the foreground. Appearance-based cues do not qualify him as a person, so he is described only by role as a priest performing puja.2012-12-25March 16 20172017-03-16December 14 20102010-12-14January 08 20172017-01-08A photograph of a puja inside a hall with a raised stage. In the foreground, a man in white dhoti and white upper cloth with an orange-red shawl and a beaded mala sits cross-legged on a purple and gold cloth, arranging offerings and silver vessels, including a silver bowl and a tray of white flowers and grains. Behind him stands a gold-and-orange deity murti of a seated figure with a crowned head on a carved wooden stand draped in purple and gold brocade. A woman in a pink sari sits at left, and the backs of several seated devotees are visible at the bottom. On the stage behind, a figure in orange robes with garlands sits on a tiger-print seat, and potted plants and a television screen are visible at right.2012-12-16April 20 20112011-04-20March 16 20172017-03-16
