Night-time outdoor ritual photograph at a temple-like pavilion decorated with a golden lion-shaped throne, painted deity figures and a shrine. In the foreground a woman in rust-red clothes with a gold border holds a brass plate with a lit oil lamp and offerings. Beside her a man in a rust-red dhoti and shawl with rudraksha malas and a sandalwood-style tilak smiles and holds a large ceremonial umbrella with a golden fringe. Other men in white dhotis and rust-red garments stand on the steps, some with folded hands, while a row of orange-robed sannyasis stands behind. A flag with a golden emblem flies above. The man with the umbrella has long swept-back hair and a distinctive rudraksha-laden look; this is an appearance-based probable match for a person in a procession-style ritual, though identity is not certain.

A central figure wearing a brown-and-gold dhoti, a multi-strand gold necklace, a red and yellow flower garland and gold armbands stands with hands at his sides, gazing upward. A younger attendant in orange with a white headband presses his palms together in prayer on the right. A cameraman films the scene, and a silver umbrella-like canopy hangs over the group beside a purple cloth draped over a flower-garlanded doorway. Floral decoration and a flaming altar with offerings are visible at lower left.

Festival lights and a decorated palanquin fill the scene.

A man in white holds a small brass lamp, and a yellow-and-red parasol appears at upper left. On the right, a decorated ratha or palanquin is heaped with orange marigold garlands, yellow flower strings and purple blossoms, with deity murti figures visible among them. Flower petals are scattered on the ground and colourful striped mats lie underfoot.
