September 05 20172017-09-05Six young men stand in a row at night outdoors, wearing white dhoti-style cloth with gold borders, bare upper bodies draped with white shawls, and dark rudraksha malas around their necks. Several have their palms pressed together in anjali, one stands with hands folded at waist, and one wears a tilak on his forehead. A red pillar and a hanging orange cloth frame the scene, with a microphone at the left edge. No single figure is identified as a person; the group appears to be devotees or sannyasi-trainees in ritual attire.2014-10-02April 06 20172017-04-06A night-time photograph of an outdoor ritual gathering. In the foreground, a shaved-headed man in a dark red-brown shawl over a plain garment stands beside an older man in a white shirt with a red shawl and a rudraksha-style beaded neck cord. Behind them, several people in saffron-orange and white robes are bent forward or kneeling, one in a white dhoti with gold borders bending low over an object. Oil lamps glow at the left edge, and blurred figures in white and orange stand in the background near a dark pillar and a garlanded structure. The people are mostly in devotional postures. No clearly identifiable a person figure is evident in the frame.2015-07-07September 05 20172017-09-05April 24 20132013-04-24June 05 20122012-06-05Night outdoor gathering of devotees in white dhotis and shawls with red-maroon borders, many with white urdhva pundra forehead markings. Several men stand with palms pressed together in anjali mudra, gazing upward, and one man at left with a gold necklace and garland looks up with his head tilted back. A man in the centre-right holds a brass cymbal or kanjira-like percussion disc. A woman in white and a woman in a yellow top stand among them. The dark background suggests an evening satsang or kirtan. No identifiable a person figure is visible among the people.2010-11-12November 16 20152015-11-16November 07 20112011-11-07September 05 20172017-09-05 +1 copiesNovember 12 20102010-11-12
