Close view of a shrine niche densely decorated with red flowers, orange marigolds, white and yellow blossoms strung into garlands, and loose red petals heaped over a dark red stone surface. In the right foreground, the blurred forearm of a person wearing a beaded rudraksha bracelet is visible. No face is shown and no readable names appear on the shrine itself, so this is a flower-decorated deity or altar setting.2018-03-28 +1 copiesA close photograph of a ritual lit with a flame. Hands in orange saffron robes and red-and-gold garments hold a lit wick or lamp over a metal plate heaped with rose petals and yellow marigold flowers, with a red cloth beneath. Orange cloth dominates the left side and a red garment with gold border the right. Offerings and a flame suggest an aarti or puja. No faces are visible; the figures are seen only from the hands down.2015-09-14April 23 20182018-04-23Close view of a devotee's hand holding a brass aarti lamp with a lit flame, pinched near a dark beaded wristband. The lamp's flame rises from a shallow bowl on a long handle. Behind, colourful flower garlands in purple, yellow, red, white and green hang in vertical strands. The woman's sari shows pink and orange stripes on the left and turquoise blue at the lower left. A dark backdrop with blurred red and white imagery is visible at right. Only a hand and arm of one person are visible.2018-04-23A photo of a padapuja-style offering: a figure in orange cloth sits on a gold-framed seat with red and white flower garlands draped over the orange garment. In the foreground, a silver tray holds red roses, white jasmine-type flowers, green leaves and gold-coloured fruit or bead-like offerings, beside a lit silver oil lamp with a flame. Two hands in white or cream sleeves hold a small silver vessel and reach toward the tray. Only hands and partial limbs of people are visible. The scene is set on a red cloth with a gold chair in the background.2009-12-08Close photo of a priest's hand and forearm holding a metal lamp stand with a lit camphor flame during a Shiva ritual. The priest wears a dark garment and beaded rudraksha-style bracelets. In front, a black Shiva lingam is decorated with red and white flower garlands and a pink rose. Blurred gold ornaments, necklaces and a red cloth fill the background.2015-02-17 +1 copiesSeptember 14 20152015-09-14Close photo of a ceremonial offering: a flame burns on a leaf-lined tray held by a hand at lower left, in front of a seated figure draped in a white and red-bordered shawl with a gold-patterned edge. The figure wears white and pink flower garlands and a dark bead mala across the chest. Yellow and pink flowers decorate the background, and a dark cloth with orange circular motifs sits behind. The scene suggests aarti or an offering with camphor-like flame; no person's face is visible and no appearance-based candidate is clearly identifiable.2012-05-18Close-up photograph of a ritual offering on a grey stone base. A yellow-glazed clay bowl holds pink and red flower petals and white sugar crystals, with a lit silver oil lamp beside it on the right. A hand wearing a red and black beaded wrist band reaches in from the top left, holding a small object above the bowl, and a white bowl of sugar sits at the left edge. Yellow turmeric and red kumkum powder dust the stone, and smoke rises from the offering. No people's faces are visible.2018-05-31September 21 20132013-09-21June 05 20122012-06-05 +1 copiesMay 30 20182018-05-30 +1 copies
