At the centre, a figure in an orange turban and orange robes wears a long marigold garland with white and red flowers and a heavy ornate gold necklace. Around them, saffron-robed sadhus with shaved heads and ceremonial gold chains press close, and a man in a dark jacket and others hold up mobile phones and a video camera. A tall silver staff with a decorative finial rises at left. The mood is a procession-style welcome amid a jostling throng of devotees.2013-02-12Outdoor photo of a temple visit in bright daylight, with green trees behind. At centre, a figure with long dark hair swept back under a beaded headband wears an orange saffron robe, a gold cloth draped over one shoulder, and a heavy gold ceremonial necklace of large beads. Behind him, a bald man in an orange robe and a gold-bordered cloth stands near a crowd. A white-clad elderly man with grey hair raises his hand toward the centre figure's forehead, a gesture of blessing. At right, a person with ash markings wears a large pink flower garland. Several photographers with cameras stand in the background, and a crowd of men in white shirts surrounds the group.2012-05-16Evening procession at a crowded outdoor religious event under string lights and a dusk sky. In the centre, a man in a rust-orange turban and rust-orange robe with a thick rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold necklace stands with palms pressed together in namaste; he matches the Swamiji (probable) appearance cues of a turban, saffron-toned clothing and rudraksha malas. Beside him on the left, a shaven-headed man in bifocal glasses wears rudraksha beads and a saffron cloth. Left edge shows a man in white with a gold necklace. Right side, men in white kurtas and a man in pink wrap hold their hands together in devotion. Behind them, an orange-clad man and crowd, orange and yellow umbrellas, a golden temple shikhara and a red flag.2016-04-24A crowded indoor scene where a central figure in saffron-orange cloth with heavy gold necklaces, a red-and-gold headband and a red bindi on the forehead smiles while reaching out to devotees. Several people press close around him, including a bald man in orange robes with gold chains on the right and a man in a white dhoti with a rudraksha mala on the far right. A man in a red polo shirt raises his arm in the background, and a man in a blue checked shirt stands in the foreground with his hands near the figure. Behind them are wooden trays and temple hangings.2012-05-11A crowded outdoor scene at night with many men pressing close together. In the centre, a man with long dark hair and a gold headband wears an orange-saffron shawl over bare shoulders, a red bindi, and layered gold necklaces with rudraksha beads. Beside him a shaved-headed man in white with a white forehead mark holds a silver staff. Another shaved-headed man in front wears a rudraksha headband and rudraksha mala with gold beads, and a man in a white shirt gestures toward him.2012-04-29February 12 20132013-02-12Photograph of an evening outdoor procession at a Kumbh Mela event. A central man in a rust-orange turban and rust-orange robe, wearing a heavy gold necklace, a rudraksha mala and a gold pendant, stands with palms pressed together in greeting. Around him, a bald man in a rust robe and rudraksha mala looks on, and devotees in white kurtas and orange shawls raise their hands. Large orange ceremonial umbrellas with fringed edges and a gilded temple-style canopy appear in the background under evening lights.2016-04-24A crowded outdoor scene with many men pressing close together. At centre, a man wears a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, a gold crown-like headband, layered gold and amber beaded necklaces, and a red bindi, with a white neckline cloth. In front, a bald priest with white tilak marks and a rudraksha mala and ornaments is seen from behind, his head bowed toward the central figure. Other men in white and orange clothes, some with white tilak and one holding a silver staff topped with a bird figure, stand around. Appearance-based identity is uncertain; the central figure shows some cues but not enough to confirm.2012-04-29February 12 20132013-02-12
