A photograph of a ritual at a shrine: a golden deity murti, adorned with a crown, silver necklaces and jewelled ornaments, stands before a red backdrop and a gold-framed arch decorated with garlands of white, yellow and purple flowers and green leaves. In the foreground a person in an orange-brown robe with hair in a bun stands with back to the camera, and a bald priest in an orange-red garment bows toward the murti while holding a silver tray with a silver bowl and a broom-like bundle. The scene appears to be a temple puja or abhishekam; the page excerpt mentions a Vaitheeswara homa, but no such ceremony is legible in the frame. Two people are visible, and the silver tray and a copper-coloured object are clearly visible.2012-10-15June 03 20152015-06-03A priest in a reddish-maroon dhoti with orange-gold borders stands at left with her back partly turned, holding a lit wick near a tall brass oil lamp. Beside her, a gold ornate shrine arch is decorated with multicoloured flower garlands in red, yellow, green and white, framing a deity murti adorned with silver jewellery and a crown-like headdress. Lit brass lamps flank the shrine, and a white tower air conditioner and potted plant appear at left. A small garlanded murti sits in front of the main deity. The scene suggests a puja.2015-06-03March 02 20132013-03-02 +1 copiesApril 27 20182018-04-27 +1 copiesA photograph of a temple-style puja scene. Before her, a golden ornate arched shrine holds a deity murti decorated with a crown, white flower garlands and red-green-yellow garlands framing the arch. Brass oil lamps with lit flames stand on either side, and metal railings are in front of the shrine. A standing air conditioner and potted plant appear at the left edge.2015-06-03A man seen from behind, bare-shouldered, in a rust-red dhoti with gold-bordered upper cloth, stands on a raised platform beside a deity murti decorated with marigold and multicolour garlands and a silver-gold crown. The murti sits on a golden lion-backed throne draped in green cloth, and he rests his hand on the throne's green covering in a puja gesture. Gold-framed silver arch, striped white and maroon wall, and hanging decorative tassels frame the scene under a metal-roofed pavilion. A small figure stands at the right edge. The image carries a copyright credit on the right.2014-11-23May 25 20132013-05-25 +1 copiesPhotograph of a temple deity murti of a goddess, a gold-faced metal image wearing a tall gold crown and ornate gold jewellery, seated before a large circular arrangement of marigold garlands in red, orange, yellow and white, with a purple silk cloth and gold ornaments below. The deity sits on a red-and-gold cloth beneath an ornate gold arch and a large orange canopy umbrella. A small brass bowl and a lit oil lamp glow in the dark background, with a speaker at left and a striped cloth on the floor. The scene reads as a night puja or abhishekam.2013-09-09
