June 20 20212021-06-20Night-time temple ritual photograph. Two priests stand before a decorated deity murti on a flower-garlanded shrine with a kalasha-like altar and a lion-mount figure. The priest in front, bare-chested with an orange-saffron dhoti and a pink-edged cloth, raises a long garland of red roses and yellow flowers with both hands while smoke or incense drifts across the frame. A second priest in a white dhoti with a pink-striped cloth and a garland stands beside him, shirtless with a sacred thread. Brass oil lamps burn in the foreground, with coconut and offerings near the base of the shrine. Appears to be an abhishekam or aarti-type puja. No identifiable a person figure is visible.2016-02-16 +1 copiesFebruary 16 20162016-02-16 +2 copiesFebruary 16 20162016-02-16Two priests in saffron-orange cloth hold up a long, multi-coloured flower garland of white, red and yellow blossoms strung with green leaves during a temple ritual.
