A woman in a yellow and cream sari with a pale shawl leans forward to hand a printed booklet toward him while he seems to receive it. Behind them, two men in saffron-orange robes stand near a draped red and yellow backdrop; one holds papers and the other has a shaved head. Bottled water, small brass items and books sit on a side table, and a stack of books rests on a nearby stand.2009-11-20A photograph in a carpeted hall with a golden ornate chair-back behind the group. A long-haired figure in rust-orange dhoti with gold-banded edges, wearing a heavy gold necklace and bangles, extends a folded yellow cloth to a shaven-headed monk in an orange cap and orange long robe. Several men in orange-brown robes with rudraksha malas and white tilak stand around, one holding his hands in greeting. A photographer in a green jacket stands at right. A deity murti sits in a niche at the back. The long-haired figure's appearance is consistent with a person, with long hair, gold necklace and ornate ritual dress, presenting the cloth in a welcome exchange.2014-01-08Indoor photograph in a room with gold-carved ornate thrones and a framed painted panel behind them. A man in an orange shawl over white clothes stands at left, with bespectacled attendants nearby. Seated at right on a leopard-print cushioned seat, a man with long dark hair wears orange-brown robes and a dark shawl, holding out a silver vessel and small dish toward a woman in red-orange sari with a gold garland. A man in a red-orange dhoti and gold necklace stands beside her. Gold thrones, a red velvet seat and a small book sit in the foreground.2016-04-27Indoor ceremonial scene in a hotel-style hall with recessed lighting and a gold-carved throne at right. A woman wearing a red-orange turban, red-brown garment and a beaded necklace sits on a red velvet seat, extending her hand toward an offering. Before her, a bearded elderly man with white hair wears orange robes, and a man in a yellow cap and orange-red shawl with a red-and-gold border bows and holds a folded white cloth. Behind them, a shaven-headed man in red-brown robes with a rudraksha mala and another woman in a brown garment stand waiting, and a figure in a white garment is partly visible. A large portrait of a figure in a red turban hangs on the wall, with a red book and a golden lion sculpture on the floor near the seat.2014-03-21April 27 20162016-04-27A photograph inside a tent-like pavilion with yellow and striped fabric walls. A bare-chested, smiling man with long swept-back dark hair sits on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion, wearing orange ochre cloth and a mala, with a microphone on a stand in front of him. A bald man in orange robes stands at left holding papers, and another person in orange stands further left. A woman in a white sari with a gold-yellow blouse kneels before the throne, holding an offering or document. Stacks of books sit on a table at right, and a small fan and water bottles are visible. The Swamiji (probable) cues are the long swept-back hair, orange clothing and mala on the figure seated on the golden throne, who appears to be receiving a presentation.2009-11-20A photograph of a formal visit inside a room with gold-carved thrones and a framed painting of a deity. A seated man in saffron-orange robes, with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala, sits on a leopard-print cushioned throne and smiles while touching a small golden-handled object. Beside him, a bald man in a red-orange dhoti and shawl with ceremonial gold necklace presses his palms together. A woman in a red sari and gold necklace holds a silver tray with a glass, and a shaved-headed attendant in orange stands behind. An elderly bearded man in white with an orange shawl stands at left, handing over a steel cup, with several onlookers behind. A small book lies on the cushion. Appearance-based label: a person, seated in the saffron-robed figure on the gold throne with the rudraksha mala.2016-04-27
