The figure has a red tilak on the forehead and is smiling with eyes lowered, one hand gathering the robe. Behind, several men in white dhotis and orange shawls follow down the steps, and a rolled white shutter sits at the right. A probable Swamiji is visible, with long swept-back hair, saffron robes and rudraksha beads, descending the stairs among his attendants.2007-02-21A photo taken at a temple doorway, with two orange-robed men standing in front. The man on the right, with long dark hair, a red bindi and a multi-coloured beaded garland with gold ornaments, smiles with palms pressed together in greeting. Beside him, a bearded man in glasses and an orange cloth, bare-chested with a rudraksha mala, holds a white cloth in one hand. Behind them, two orange-clad attendants stand in the doorway, and a tray of bananas is visible. Two partially visible people in the foreground are at the edge of the frame. The right-hand figure has distinctive long hair, ornate garlands and ceremonial gold necklaces, so this is an appearance-based probable match for Swamiji in person.2009-08-11Four men in saffron-orange robes walk along a dirt path beside a tall orange-painted wall with green shrubs and yellow flowers on the left. The central man, with long swept-back dark hair, a red bindi, rudraksha mala and layered ceremonial gold beaded necklace, smiles broadly and extends his left hand outward. He wears an orange shawl over his shoulder. Behind him a bald man in orange and a younger man on the right with a gold necklace and white tilak on his forehead walk alongside. Another bald man in orange with a gold necklace holds a small orange cloth bag. Palm trees and a corrugated roof are visible in the background.2012-07-03 +1 copiesJuly 24 20122012-07-24June 24 20122012-06-24 +1 copiesA photograph of a narrow, weathered alley in Varanasi where a long-haired man in orange-saffron robes walks at the centre, smiling and raising one hand in greeting.
