A red and orange mala is worn around the neck, and the hair is tied up in a bun. Blurred brass lamps, a kalasha-like vessel and a bell-shaped object stand on the shrine behind, with a red cloth hanging at the right edge. The gesture suggests a reverent prostration or touching of a sacred stone, and no clear visible name or caption appears on the person. The appearance is consistent with a devotee or sannyasi, but the face and identity are not established from the image.2011-02-02A person with long, swept-back dark hair bows low and presses their forehead against the carved edge of a grey stone step or threshold.
