Two men stand before a maroon velvet curtain performing a lamp ritual. The man on the left wears a white dhoti-style garment, a gold bead necklace, a gold bangle and white sacred markings on his forehead and arms, and he holds the stem of a silver oil lamp. The man on the right wears an orange turban, an orange saffron-coloured wrap, a long gold bead mala and a gold bangle, and he holds the lamp's bowl with a flame burning in it. He looks down at the flame. The lamp is an oil lamp, and the scene reads as an aarti-style lamp offering on a white floor with a patterned mat at the edge.

A photograph of two men performing a ritual lamp offering in front of a deep maroon curtain. On the left, a young man with a shaved head, white horizontal tilak marks on his forehead, arms and chest, and a white dhoti-style cloth with a gold bead necklace holds a hand out toward a brass oil lamp with a flame. On the right, a figure in a saffron-orange turban and orange robe with a long gold bead mala and gold bangle holds a small green-and-white packet and tends the lamp. Behind them a man in a white shirt stands slightly out of focus. The lamp suggests an aarti-style offering.

A white air conditioner sits at the left edge, and white drapery hangs behind the stage.

Photograph of a shaved-headed priest in white dhoti and white shawl with gold border, wearing a long beaded necklace of gold-toned beads, holding a silver tray with a multi-flame silver aarti lamp, the flames rising and smoke drifting. Behind him another priest in white and a younger man in saffron-orange robes with a beaded necklace stand in an orange-walled courtyard. A hand at the left edge holds a bell-like object. The priest with the aarti lamp is not an identifiable a person candidate by the given cues, so this is an aarti ritual by priests and devotees.
