January 22 20082008-01-22A photograph of a man in an orange-saffron cloth wrap, bare-shouldered, wearing a heavy gold necklace, reaching out his hand toward the trunk of a grey elephant at a wooden log enclosure. The elephant's wrinkled trunk extends toward him over a rough timber fence tied with rope, under a thatched shelter with green trees in the background. The man's appearance (saffron wrap and gold ornate necklace) is a distinctive cue, so he is labelled a probable Swamiji, here feeding an elephant.2012-11-29November 29 20122012-11-29November 29 20122012-11-29A photograph of an outdoor elephant enclosure with a rough wooden fence of poles and logs under green trees. A man in a saffron-orange dhoti-style cloth, bare-shouldered, with hair tied in a bun and a gold necklace around his neck, reaches over the fence toward a grey elephant whose trunk extends toward him. A second person in red and yellow cloth stands at the left edge.2012-11-29A photograph of an outdoor enclosure beside a wall, with palm trees behind. A large dark elephant with a yellow rope around its neck stands at left, its trunk lowered toward a woman in a white top and dark hair tied back with a pink ribbon. In the centre a man in a white dhoti and white shirt stands beside her. At right, a man with long dark curly hair wears a saffron-orange robe draped over one shoulder and a rudraksha mala, and reaches out to touch the elephant's head. Straw and leaves are scattered on the ground, and a stone block sits near the woman.2006-11-09A photograph of an elephant at an outdoor enclosure with a stone wall and palm trees behind it. A man with long, voluminous dark curly hair wears a saffron-orange robe draped over his shoulder and a long rudraksha mala, and reaches up to touch the elephant's trunk. Beside him, a person in white clothing with dark hair tied back stands facing the elephant. A small figure in a white top with a pink hair tie is in the foreground, and dry palm leaves lie on the ground. The man's appearance, with long swept curly hair, saffron robe and rudraksha mala, is a person candidate, though the image is not a confirmed identification.2006-11-09January 22 20082008-01-22November 09 20062006-11-09A photo at an outdoor enclosure with wooden log fencing and dirt ground. An elephant's trunk reaches over the fence toward a man in an orange saffron dhoti and shawl with a long ornate gold-bead necklace and a red tilak on his forehead, who holds a banana. Beside him a woman in a red-and-gold sari holds a bunch of bananas. A younger man in a light orange robe stands at right with his hand extended. A large grey elephant calf stands behind the fence. A tall blue-and-white banner and tent structures stand in the background among trees.2012-11-29A grey elephant with a wrinkled trunk reaches over a rustic bamboo and log fence toward a person's outstretched hand, which grips the tip of the trunk. Dirt ground, wet patches and dry straw lie in an enclosure beneath a thatched shelter and green trees. Only a forearm is visible from the left, so the person is not fully shown. The scene reads as elephant feeding at an animal enclosure.2012-11-29November 09 20062006-11-09
