A standing man with long dark hair and an orange-saffron robe with rudraksha malas stretches one arm toward a gold-foil backdrop on a stage decorated with white and pink garlands, a canopy of colourful patterned cloth and marigold-trimmed decoration. Seated in white garments, devotees with rudraksha malas sit on white sheets in front of him; a man in white bends forward offering a white flower garland at the gold backdrop, and a seated woman in white holds her hands in anjali. Brass vessels, a kalasha-like pot, flowers and oil lamps sit in front of the stage. Several seated devotees in white and a man in orange-bordered clothing occupy the foreground. A dais and a microphone stand are visible at right.2005-07-21November 05 20062006-11-05July 21 20052005-07-21July 21 20052005-07-21 +1 copiesA photograph of a satsang on a raised stage beneath a red and gold patterned canopy with striped bunting. A central figure in saffron-orange robes with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala sits before a gilded arched backdrop framed by garlands, with a microphone stand in front. Seated on the left are several people in white clothes, and on the right a row of shaven-headed monks in saffron sit on a white-draped platform. A red carpet strewn with marigold petals runs down the centre, and a silver tray with offerings and brass vessels sits in front of the speaker. Appearance-based label: the central figure in saffron with long hair and a rudraksha mala is a person, seated as the speaker.2005-07-21Photograph of a Guru Poornima event in a decorated hall with a golden arched backdrop framed by marigold and flower garlands. Seated around him in white clothes are devotees: a woman in a white sari with folded hands, a young woman in white with a rudraksha mala, and men in white shirts with hands joined in prayer. A woman in an orange-bordered sari sits at right with eyes closed, and a kalasha-like ritual setup with garlands appears at the arch. The scene reads as an aarti or satsang gathering.2005-07-21A photograph of a seated figure in a saffron-orange robe with long swept-back dark hair and a red mark on the forehead, sitting on an ornate gilded throne with a red cushioned back and carved lion-like supports, hands pressed together in namaste. Around him devotees sit on the floor: a woman in a red sari with a gold border, several people in white ritual clothes, and women in yellow shawls, some holding small brass bowls and a plate of red flowers. A wooden tray with brass items and fruit sits at left. The saffron-robed figure with distinctive long hair and orange robe is a probable Swamiji candidate. Visible people number roughly eight to ten.2009-12-03A seated figure in saffron-orange robes and a shawl sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne with a golden arched back, palms pressed together in a gesture of blessing before a stage with a yellow floral cloth. A figure with long swept-back hair and a crown-like headpiece wears saffron clothing; the cues are an appearance-based probable match for Swamiji (probable) presiding as the speaker. Flanking the throne are two brass oil lamps with flames. To the left, men in white dhotis and saffron-bordered attire, one shaved-headed in orange, sit on the stage with hands extended toward the throne. To the right, women in saffron and white sit with hands extended in greeting.2010-12-02January 01 20092009-01-01May 28 20132013-05-28Photograph of a Guru Poornima gathering in a temple-style hall with gold-foil backdrops and a large golden arch decorated with flower garlands. A long-haired man in an orange robe stands centrally, one hand raised and holding a small object, while bare-headed men in orange robes sit to the right beside a gilded deity murti. Seated devotees in white clothes, many with hands joined in prayer, fill the foreground, including a woman in an orange sari with hands folded. Fresh flowers lie on the red floor, and a brass lamp stands near the centre. The man in the orange robe has long hair and distinctive orange clothing, but his identity cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.2005-07-21February 25 20072007-02-25 +1 copies
