Close view of a homa fire burning in a brick-lined square fire pit on the floor, with bright orange flames rising from the wood. Around the pit are kumkum and turmeric-dusted surfaces, a brass bowl, a small kalasha-style offering vessel, a green-and-pink striped mat, and a dish of mangoes and coconut; the bottom edge shows seated devotees in light and reddish clothing. No prominent person is in focus, and the image shows a fire ritual setting rather than a named individual.2015-07-06October 01 20112011-10-01A square brick fire pit blazes with tall orange flames at night, a homa or yagna fire. Logs burn inside the brick enclosure, and small offerings of rice or flower petals sit on the brick edges, with red petals visible at the corners. Behind it stands a large brass bowl with a ladle and a small metal vessel. No people are visible in the frame.2015-12-24Close view of a homa fire pit built from stacked red and yellow bricks, with tall orange flames rising from the centre.
