A central seated figure with long swept-back hair, a red-and-gold saffron robe, a dark rudraksha mala and a gold ceremonial necklace holds a small bowl, matching the Swamiji (probable) appearance cues. A bald priest on the left wears an orange shawl and rudraksha beads, and a bald man at lower right with folded hands wears an orange shawl. Behind them a deity murti with a crown and garlands of white jasmine and pink flowers sits on a gold-draped altar with lamps. An elderly man with a shaved head and white sandalwood markings on his arms and chest, wearing a rudraksha mala headband and rudraksha necklaces and bracelets, a gold necklace, and an orange-red dhoti with gold border, holds a small brass bell and performs the ritual, while a bare-chested attendant in a white dhoti stands at right holding a silver lamp stand, and a second orange-clad attendant with rudraksha bands on his arms stands at left. Lit oil lamps line the shrine arch. Appearance-based identity is not reliable enough here, so the elderly priest is described by role only.2012-05-13A photograph inside a temple shrine.
