Two figures stand side by side: the left one holds a trident and wears a crown, a long multi-strand necklace, and white and yellow garlands; the right one wears a golden crown with a matching ornate necklace and garlands. Both are draped with a red cloth backdrop and flanked by carved golden lion-like or makara ornaments. Warm lamplight illuminates the scene, with dark silhouettes of onlookers' heads in the foreground. Lamps are lit above, and the setting appears to be an outdoor festival chariot or shrine structure.May 13 20122012-05-13 +2 copiesMay 14 20122012-05-14 +1 copiesInterior of a temple shrine photographed from the front. Two large golden-hued deity statues stand behind a black stone Shiva lingam on a dark yoni pedestal, one holding a trident-like staff and wearing orange and white cloth with a garland, the other in green and gold with a yellow-and-pink garland. A smaller statue of a bearded figure in a maroon dhoti, golden shoulder cloth and yellow garland stands on the right on a gold cloth. Tall brass oil lamps flank the shrine, and small brass figurines and a brass pyramidal kalasha-like object sit on the platform. A partially visible person in dark clothing kneels at the lower right corner, while the deities are statues and count as no physical people.2017-08-02May 13 20122012-05-13 +2 copiesGolden-bronze metal statues in a temple-like niche. Centre stands a multi-armed deity murti with a tall crown and ornate jewellery. Left, a figure with a tall crown and raised hand is seated beside smaller figures in red cloth. Right, a seated figure in a red shawl and crown raises a hand in blessing. Statues, not living people; the setting is a plain wall and shrine area.2013-06-05May 13 20122012-05-13 +2 copiesMay 13 20122012-05-13A photograph of two people seated side by side on a red-draped platform in front of a red and gold backdrop, with framed printed pictures on the wall above. The figure on the left wears a deep red and gold sari, a red and gold headdress, a long beaded garland and a sash of ornate jewellery. The figure on the right wears an orange-gold sari, an ornate gold headdress and a red-beaded necklace. The seated figures appear to be dressed for a ceremonial occasion, with a fringed draped hanging to the right and decorative gold elements around the platform.
