Outdoor photograph of a South Indian ceremony at a dusty concrete-block site beside bare trees. A smiling woman in a deep red silk sari with gold border and a garland of white and pink flowers stands on the left, bangles on her wrist. Behind her, a man with long dark hair and a red bindi wears an orange-saffron garment and a white flower garland; he is smiling and reaching toward her. An older man in a plain white dhoti and shirt, also garlanded in pink and green flowers, stands in the centre. In the foreground, a woman in a white and orange-bordered sari with flowers in her hair kneels and bends forward, touching the ground amid scattered petals and loose flowers. A photographer with a camera stands in the background, and a bald man in white is partly visible behind the group. Several people are partly visible at the edges.

A photograph of a ceremonial ritual at an outdoor construction-site setting with dirt ground and stacked building materials behind. A man in white dhoti and shirt sits cross-legged on a woven mat, leaning forward with his hands at a brass plate of offerings. Beside him a woman in a red and gold sari with a white and red flower garland stands at the mat's edge, her hands clasped at her waist. Around them several men and women in white dhotis, white kurtas and pale green saris are seated or standing, some wearing flower garlands. Brass and steel plates hold flower petals, fruit and small offerings on the ground, with a blue tin container at lower left. Puja offerings and garlanded participants suggest a padapuja or similar ritual gathering.

A woman in a deep red saree with a gold border and a white flower garland leans over the pit, while a man in a cream kurta and white dhoti kneels beside it adding offerings. Another woman in a maroon saree with a white and red garland stands nearby with her hands joined. Scattered marigold and rose petals cover the ground, and a metal plate sits beside the pit. Other people sit or stand in the background among stacked concrete blocks and corrugated sheeting, and a man in a pink striped shirt stands at the right edge.

In the foreground, a man in white dhoti and shirt with a white and red flower garland sits beside a fire pit, feeding offerings into small flames. Beside him a woman in a red and gold sari wears a white jasmine garland with red flowers and a rudraksha-style necklace, hands folded in her lap. Behind them, other devotees in white, green and maroon clothing, several wearing flower garlands, sit cross-legged with brass bowls, plates of flowers and offerings nearby. This appears to be a homa or yagna with a visible fire pit and offerings.

The foreground man wears white dhoti and shirt with a white and red flower garland and works at the fire, beside a woman in a red blouse and red-and-white checked sari wearing a white and red garland. Behind, several young men in orange robes and rudraksha malas sit in rows, and a seated young man in white dhoti with gold border and a white shawl rests his hands together. A white-clad man with a shaved head sits at upper left. Pink floral cloth lies on the floor and a metal stand stands at right.
