A figure in a rust-red robe with a matching red turban and white floral garland bends forward, hands resting on a glass or crystal lingam on a black stone yoni-pitha base. Behind the lingam stands a deity murti with a crown, gold necklaces and white and pink garlands, on a gold satin cloth. On the right, a person in white dhoti with a gold border and an orange garment pours liquid from a silver vessel, another assistant holds a silver kalasha, and white and pink flower garlands drape the shrine. Ritual abhishekam setting.2014-06-29June 19 20142014-06-19Close view of a padapuja ritual: an orange-robed seated figure's feet rest on a red cloth, with a garland of pink and white flowers draped over the orange fabric above. Two hands, one in a plain white sleeve and one bare with silver bangles, hold a metal plate filled with red flower petals and ornate gold objects, including gold-coloured ornaments and a figure in front. A gilded throne edge is visible behind. A person in pink clothing is partly visible at the left edge. Visible evidence is limited to the feet, garland and offering tray; the seated figure's face is not shown.2009-12-01May 21 20062006-05-21Close photo of several pairs of hands pouring liquid over a silver ritual vessel at a puja table. Hands wear gold bangles and rings; one hand holds a pink rose-like flower and a small silver spouted pot. Above the bowls sit white flowers, green leaves and a small gold kalasha-style object on silver trays. Blurred figures in white clothing and a person in orange at left suggest a devotional abhishekam setting.2010-11-07November 02 20102010-11-02
