A crowd of women in saffron-orange saris and rudraksha malas eat food from their cupped hands during a communal gathering in a hall. A young woman in the foreground with a red-brown bead mala and a silver necklace raises a handful of yellow rice to her mouth, while women beside her hold similar portions. Several women wear red-brown blouses, and bangles and red wrist threads are visible. The background shows more orange-clad participants and a bright stage area.2017-03-14Annadhan in 20132013-01-01 +2 copiesSeptember 30 20162016-09-30March 14 20172017-03-14July 03 20172017-07-03 +1 copiesNovember 11 20162016-11-11 +1 copiesDecember 18 20162016-12-18December 18 20162016-12-18September 13 20142014-09-13A photograph of a group of women in orange and saffron clothing during a ritual offering. In the foreground, a young girl in an orange salwar kameez with gold trim tilts her head back to receive food from a woman in orange who holds a small portion between her fingers. The woman feeding her wears glass bangles, a rudraksha-style mala, and a light orange shawl with printed text. Another girl kneels at right holding a brass bowl of yellow prasadam. At left, a woman with a red and black beaded necklace and a striped orange shawl watches with a serious expression. Behind them, other devotees in orange robes and rudraksha malas stand near white pillars.2015-12-20 +1 copiesA photograph of several women in orange and rust-coloured saris and shawls, wearing rudraksha mala necklaces, gathered closely as they eat or hold yellow food balls. Some women are looking up with mouths open to receive food from others, while one in a rust sari extends food toward them. Some wear white or yellow tilak marks on the forehead. Behind them, other devotees and a seated crowd fill a hall with red curtains, a white wall and a small screen. No one is clearly identifiable as a person in this frame.2016-12-18A crowd of women and girls in saffron-orange clothing gathers closely in a temple-like hall with gold-toned walls behind them. In the centre, a young woman with a vertical tilak on her forehead and dark beaded rudraksha malas around her neck holds a handful of yellow flower petals in both hands. Several others in orange saris and orange kurtas surround her, some with long dark braids or hair pulled into buns. The scene suggests a ritual offering of petals during an assembly.2017-07-03 +1 copies
