A small ornate figure of a seated saint, in a brass-gold throne-like frame with lion-head supports and decorative finials. The figure wears an orange-saffron robe, a saffron turban with a gold ornamental crown on top, a tilak on the forehead, and layered beaded necklaces, with a pink floral garland draped across the chest. Its right hand is raised in a blessing gesture. Behind it are yellow and red marigold-style flowers and gold drapery. The figure is a statue or murti rather than a living person, so no physical people are present.2016-12-16December 10 20162016-12-10 +1 copiesA small figure of a seated sage or deity murti in a gilded throne-like shrine flanked by two golden lion sculptures and a gilded kalasha-topped canopy. The figure wears a purple turban and is decorated with thick garlands of orange and red roses and white flowers draped across the shrine arch. Gold star-shaped ornaments decorate the arch, and a brass lamp stand stands at the left edge. The setting appears to be a festive ceremonial display with flowers and yellow fabric visible in the background.
