A seated figure in rust-orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits smiling on an ornate golden throne with a large pink lotus backdrop and a painted trident in the upper right. A bare-headed attendant in saffron wrap on the left holds a tiered brass aarti lamp stand lit with oil lamps. Around the throne, several women in white and red-bordered saris, one in a green shawl, and a man in white kneel and sit, some holding small brass lamps and plates. Brass oil lamps are set on a blue floor in the foreground. A large trident and a cityscape painting complete the setting, consistent with an aarti or puja ceremony.2014-05-21September 07 20122012-09-07A man seated on an ornate silver-and-white throne with red cushions, wearing an orange-red turban with a gold emblem, an orange-red shawl over a saffron-brown dhoti, and a gold necklace.
