A photograph of open dark blue sea under a pale grey overcast sky, with a distant cargo ship and a second vessel barely visible on the calm horizon. No people are visible.

A photograph on a river at Varanasi showing two young men in the foreground pushing and steadying a weathered wooden riverboat with blue and white diagonal stripes and peeling red paint. Behind them, a white and blue passenger boat with a red-trimmed cabin and railing carries a few people, including a man in white clothing and a man in saffron robes standing near a speaker stand. A pale hazy sky and a distant red-girdered bridge frame the scene.

Photograph of two boats on a wide river under a pale hazy sky. On the right, a white-and-red boat carries several people in saffron and orange robes and white clothing; one saffron-robed man stands at the rail pointing toward the water, and a man in a grey t-shirt stands in the foreground. A cameraman appears at the right edge. On the left, a blue-and-white striped boat carries passengers in mixed clothing, including a woman in a red sari, and a man leans from its side. Speakers and a black case sit on the boats. The scene suggests a river crossing with a group travelling by water.

Photo of the bow of a white cruise ship, the Costa Victoria, moored at a quay under an overcast sky. The name is painted in large blue letters on the hull. Mooring lines run from the bow to bollards on the dock, and a red marker flag hangs from a line. Beyond the calm grey water, several cargo ships and tankers sit at anchor near a long breakwater. No people are visible.

Behind them a red and white passenger boat carries a person on its upper deck and a camera on a tripod, and a rusted red iron bridge stretches across the hazy background.

A wide, hazy river scene with a white wooden passenger boat moored on the left, its open canopy frame and windowed cabin visible. Calm grey-blue water stretches to a faint, flat far shore under a pale sky, with a small distant boat and a bird in flight at right. No people are visible on the boat or the water.

A photograph of open sea under a pale grey sky. A single small boat sits on the distant horizon at the centre, while choppy dark blue-green water with white wave crests fills the foreground. No people are visible.
