April 27 20142014-04-27A bald man in a maroon-red garment with a gold-bordered shawl and layered rudraksha malas stands from behind, holding up a tiered silver aarti lamp with many lit oil lamps while performing aarti before a shrine. He wears a small hoop earring, rudraksha bracelets and a gold bangle, and has white ash marks on his arms. Blurred deity figures and lamps fill the background of the temple hall.2014-10-06A photograph from behind of a shaved-headed priest in an orange saffron robe with a gold trim, wearing a rudraksha mala, holding a lit multi-tiered brass aarti lamp with several flames. He faces a deity murti seated on a golden throne within a temple shrine, framed by a golden halo and strings of warm bokeh lights. Tall painted guardian figures in red and orange stand on either side of the shrine, and a few other people in white clothing are blurred at the edges. The scene suggests an evening aarti during worship in a temple.2013-01-28A man in a saffron-orange ceremonial garment and a gold bead necklace holds a tall silver multi-tiered oil lamp aarti stand with many lit flames, gazing upward in a dim hall. He has a red tilak on his forehead, wears glasses and a silver bracelet, and has white painted markings on his upper arms. The lamp stand has a curved silver handle and ornate silver base; a metal railing and blurred furnishings are behind him. The lamp is an oil lamp stand used in aarti, not a fire pit.2011-11-30A tiered brass lamp stand with many lit oil lamps is held aloft by a person in the lower left, whose shaved head and bare shoulder are in silhouette. The blurred background shows a golden shrine with a deity murti framed by an arch and red cloth. Behind the lamp, several people in white dhotis and orange-red shawls stand in a temple, out of focus.2016-07-15October 12 20142014-10-12April 28 20162016-04-28March 06 20132013-03-06September 09 20122012-09-09March 09 20142014-03-09July 20 20172017-07-20August 04 20172017-08-04
