April 17 20112011-04-17A large night-time outdoor gathering of devotees, mostly seated on the ground and some standing, filling the foreground and midground. Many wear white, while women wear saffron, yellow, red and blue saris and salwars. A woman in the centre-right wears a saffron-orange sari with white body markings. At the right edge, men in white dhotis raise lit torches or lamps beneath a small canopy strung with colourful flags, with a row of small lights along the back of the crowd and street lamps above. The scene suggests a night ritual or aarti at an open-air temple ground.2011-04-17April 17 20112011-04-17January 02 20162016-01-02Night outdoor gathering at a large open ground with hundreds of seated devotees in white clothing, rows of dark mats or cushions with small yellow-topped items, and two tall white pillars lit by street lamps. Several men in white dhotis and bare-chested or saffron-robed priests walk in a line, some carrying long poles and staves. Behind them, a lit ratha/chariot with illuminated golden kalasha-shaped towers and a deity murti stands among a large crowd of devotees in white and saffron clothing. A white rope barrier runs across the frame. A man in a maroon-and-gold dhoti at left faces the procession. Strings of lights and a tent canopy frame the scene.2016-01-02May 25 20172017-05-25
