Night photograph of the upper facade of a stone temple gopuram, lit by a flash against a black sky. Painted stucco sculptures of deities, apsaras and attendant figures fill the colourful tiered cornice in blue, red, orange and green, with a seated figure in a white garment on the right. Below, grey granite walls with carved pillars, a pillared niche and a lattice window show the temple's architecture.

A richly painted Hindu temple gopuram facade crowded with colourful stucco sculptures of deities and attendants. In the central niche stands a multi-armed deity murti in gold and grey tones. Flanking figures include female attendants holding a fan and a whisk, and a small seated Ganesha figure with an elephant head at lower right. Above, seated figures and ornate turquoise, red and gold scrollwork decorate the tiers. No people are visible; the statues are the subject, and the page's a person reference does not appear in the image.

A photograph of a colourfully painted Hindu temple gopuram and roof cornice. Above, a tiered tower with yellow and green makara-like finials and a small shrine niche holds a bell-shaped motif. Below the cornice, four painted stucco figures stand in a row: at left a nude figure with a rudraksha-like necklace, second a crowned deity figure in orange dhoti with hands raised, third a figure in white dhoti holding a staff with palms together in namaskar, and at right a figure with a garland. No living people are visible.

Night photograph looking up at the painted gopuram of a temple, its tiers covered with colourful sculpted figures of deities and attendants in red, blue, green and white. Some figures stand with hands folded in namaskar along the lower storeys, and carved stone pillars and wall courses sit in the foreground beneath the dark sky. No people are visible in the scene.

Interior of an ornate South Indian temple hall with richly carved and painted wooden and stone architecture. A tall polished brass pillar with a decorated base stands at right, and a colourful painted ceiling with ornate carved brackets and a lion-headed corbel is above. Central shrine structure with a multi-tiered painted dome and sculpted deity figures, including a deity murti in the centre flanked by bull (Nandi-like) sculptures and attendant figures. Warm electric lights and a glowing doorway give the scene a golden tone. A few people's shoulders and heads are partly visible at the lower right edge. Scene shows temple architecture rather than a specific ritual.

A dim stone temple corridor with grey granite pillars and carved lotus-style capitals, lit by a single hanging light. Painted life-size stone sculptures stand on plinths: a figure in red and yellow dhoti and bangles, another in blue and green with a crossed-arm stance, and a mounted figure with a horse and rider in bright blue, red and green. A small child-like figure in white stands near a pillar. Black umbrella-shaped objects and a tall wooden stand are visible at the back. No living people are visible in the scene, and no a person candidate appears.
